1. What is your educational background?
I received a bachelors and masters of science in Speech
Pathology from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Upon
graduation I was awarded the Alfred J. Solkolinski Award, given to one
graduate student, for clinical excellence.
2. Are you certified?
I hold a Type 10 certification issued by the Illinois State
Board of Education as well as Illinois State Certification issued by the
Illinois Department of Professional Regulation. I have also received my
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech and Hearing
Association (ASHA).
3. How many years and what type of experience do you have?
I have been employed by the Chicago Public Schools for four
years specializing in speech and language disorders in school age children.
I have taken continuing education courses in apraxia, oral-motor disorders,
picture exchange communication system (PECS), alternative/augmentative
communication (AAC), among others.
